With a lifelong passion for auctions and antiques, Brad Stoecker brings extensive expertise and dedication to the industry. His journey into the auction industry began growing up next door to Ohio Hall of Fame Auctioneer Herb Peddicord, who sparked his fascination with the auction chant and process at a young age. By age 12, Brad was already running his own antique booth, fueled by a love for the emerging antique and collectible markets of the 1980s and 1990s. Weekends spent at auctions and refinishing antiques became a way of life, with his growing business even supporting his college education.

A graduate of Muskingum University with a double major in Business Management and Economics, Brad went on to a 20+ year career in electric commodity trading while maintaining a vibrant sideline in auctions and antiques. Eventually, his dedication to the auction business led him to leave the corporate world and focus full-time on Epic Auctions and Estate Sales. Now a licensed Real Estate Broker, Brad assists families in handling every aspect of an estate, from personal property to real estate.

After several years of working alongside his mentor, Brad and his wife, Rachel, purchased Epic Auctions and Estate Sales from company founders Bob and Sheila Howe in 2018. Deeply involved in the industry, Brad has served on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Auctioneers Association, including as President in 2020 and 2021, and as Chairman of the Board in 2022. He’s also a proud life member of the MAA and holds multiple prestigious designations from the National Auction Association and Michigan Auctioneers Association, which represent his commitment to excellence and expertise in the field:

  • CAI – Certified Auctioneers Institute: The CAI designation is the highest professional designation in the auction industry, awarded after an intensive three-year program at Indiana University. This designation recognizes advanced training in auction business management and ethical practices.
